Quazi Tarikul Islam studied Medicine at Rajshahi Medical College and graduated in 1981.He qualified his FCPS in Internal Medicine in July 1987. Dr. Islam served as Consultant of Medicine from 1987 to 1991 at district hospital. He joined as Assistant professor at Rajshahi Medical College in 1991untill 1993 when he left country on lien to Saudi Arabia to serve as Medicine Specialist and worked there up to 1998. After returning back to home he joined at Rajshahi Medical College. In 2003, he was promoted as Associate Professor and in 2007 he became Professor of Medicine and head of the department of Medicine in the same Institute. In 2009 he joined at Dhaka Medical College as Professor of Medicine and retired from job in  2012.  After retirement he joined in Popular Medical College ( Private) as professor of Medicine. Presently he is serving as Professor in the Department of Medicine in the same Institute,  Dhaka , Bangladesh.
